The Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) International is seeking technical committee members for the revision of AMCA Standard 550-D, Laboratory Methods of Testing Dampers for Rating.

AMCA Standard 500-D covers the performance testing of dampers and establishes uniform laboratory test methods for dampers. The characteristics to be determined include, as appropriate, air leakage, pressure drop, dynamic closure, and operational torque.

Committee members would be expected to participate in the drafting, review, and resolution of any and all comments on the standard until the revised standard is approved by the membership. Most (possibly all) meetings will be by conference call via GoToMeeting.
