Bosch Thermotechnology Corp., a division of Robert Bosch North America, is recognizing October 20, 2015, as National Geothermal Day. The recognition comes as part of National Energy Month.

Launched on Earth Day 2015, Bosch Thermotechnology is sponsoring a national geothermal awareness campaign to raise public awareness and understanding of geothermal heating and cooling technology and its environmental benefits.

The campaign’s centerpiece is a geothermal information website located at www.geothermalday.com. The website features information, activities, and resources related to geothermal along with an educational video and interactive activities for children.

New to the website is the addition of a list of available incentives and rebates provided by each state for the installation of a geothermal heat pump system. This resource, which is linked to the online Database for State Incentives/Rebates for Renewable Energy (DSIRE), can be accessed by buyers and contractors.

Also new to the website are details for Volunteer and GeoSelfie Contests with cash gift card prizes to be awarded. For full details and to sign up for the contests, visit www.geothermalday.com/supporters. On social media, participants should use the hashtag #GeoDay2015.

Since its launch, the National Geothermal Day initiative has been recognized by a number of organizations including the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), the Geothermal Research Council, individual GRC chapters, among others. To date more than 2,000 individuals have registered on the website as supporters.
