Trane showcased some of its latest offerings at the 2015 InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Owner’s Conference in San Francisco, Oct. 1-2.

Quality of sleep is a key driver of overall guest satisfaction for all IHG brands. IHG awarded the Winning in Sleep Partner designation to conference participants showcasing products and services that help provide a better night’s sleep for hotel guests.

Trane introduced ProSpace™ packaged terminal air conditioners (PTAC) at the conference. The ProSpace PTAC is designed to reduce noise levels and create a peaceful atmosphere for hotel guests. The system also features humidity control for individual air-quality management, wireless thermostat and remote control capabilities, and an unobtrusive design that blends in with a room’s décor.

“In the hospitality industry, guest comfort is not just a convenience –— it is a revenue stream,” said Jerad Adams, Trane product manager. “ProSpace PTACs help hospitality business owners create an environment that meets the comfort and sleep needs of guests.”

Trane variable refrigerant flow (VRF) indoor and outdoor systems were also highlighted at the conference. Trane VRF systems offer customizable solutions for improved temperature control and occupant comfort. Individual rooms can be heated or cooled to the occupant’s temperature preference allowing for increased comfort and satisfaction.

“Moving away from a one setting fits all approach to heating and cooling creates a solution for hospitality buildings with multiple zones that heat up and cool down in varying patterns throughout the day,” said Johnny Graves, Trane VRF product sales manager. “Trane VRF systems deliver individualized solutions to meet hotel guests comfort needs.”

Trane VRF outdoor systems also include a user-selectable night operation mode that reduces sound output for quiet operation during nighttime hours.
