Seresco USA Inc. presented manufacturer's representative MacAire Inc. with its Dominator 2014 Award.

Led by President Paul McWatters, MacAire was a leading U.S. rep and dominant force that made Seresco dehumidifiers the number one brand in its Western Michigan territory, according to David Lucas, president of Seresco USA.

"MacAire's dominance is largely due to knowing its territory and keeping close contact with its customer base," said Lucas. "Retrofits of dehumidifiers reaching their lifecycle end is the emerging industry trend and no rep shows more creativity or experience with these challenges than MacAire."

Some high profile indoor pool projects that helped MacAire surpass their sales quotas in 2014 included:

• Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, has a hotel indoor pool that received a seamless HVAC makeover requiring little aquatics disruption. The casino received Seresco's retrofit-centric NE-200 Series that's designed to fit through typically narrow 32-in-wide, 7-ft-high pedestrian mechanical room doorways.

• Grand Traverse City YMCA in Traverse City, MI, is a new facility featuring the lap pool's Seresco Protocol NP-Series dehumidifier that uses 60% less refrigerant than conventional indoor pool dehumidification equipment. The leisure pool natatorium uses an NE-200 Series unit because its small footprint fit the mechanical room's limited space.

• Forest Hills Aquatic Center in Grand Rapids, MI, was retrofitted with a 30-ton Protocol NP-Series dehumidifier for the 5,500-sq-ft pool area and an NE-200 Series for the 200-seat spectator area.
