Bosch Thermotechnology will introduce a new sealed combustion, high-efficiency stainless steel boiler line with condensing technology. The SSB family will consist of a total of eight models in four separate housing sizes with inputs ranging from 85 MBH up to 1,024 MBH, applicable for use in small studio units all the way up to commercial buildings. These boilers, which can be cascaded, feature a stainless steel heat exchanger and low gas pressure operation. They can be vented using either PVC, CPVC, or PP. All SSBs feature an automatic control unit with a premix burner and a pneumatic air-gas system. A low-water-cutoff (LWCO) and safety temperature high limiter with a manual reset is factory installed to make installation faster and easier. Also pre-installed in the larger units (sizes 512 to 1,024 MBH) is a low- and high-gas pressure switch. Bosch SSBs come with a limited warranty of 10 years on the stainless steel heat exchanger and five years on parts and labor. Availability will be announced later this year.
