Seresco Technologies recently doubled its space with an expansion into a new Ottawa, ON-based manufacturing, warehousing, and office headquarters. The expansion follows in the wake of Seresco's 25% annual sales increases the last three years and enables the 12-year-old, privately-held commercial dehumidifier manufacturer to increase its workforce.

The larger, automated manufacturing plant will help Seresco increase production capacity by 100% percent and add a second shift, which the company claims will lead to one of the HVAC industry's shortest lead times for commercial dehumidifiers ranging up to 140-tons in size and 70,000 cfms.

"This expansion accommodates the growth that's propelling us toward the role of North American leader in dehumidification manufacturing," said David Lucas, president.

Lucas said the sales growth is driven by Seresco's Protocol NP-Series dehumidifier and the WebSentry® control system. The Protocol aims to minimize refrigerant liabilities such as leaks, high installation costs, and rising prices by substituting refrigerant with glycol for heat rejection to dry coolers. The proprietary web-based WebSentry allows contractors, Seresco factory engineers, and building owners to check daily on more than 120 dehumidifier operating parameters via a smart phone or computer web browser to maintain optimal 24/7 performance.
