Mitsubishi Electric says it has made significant enhancements to its Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) zoning R2-Series and Y-Series cooling and heating systems. Leading efficiencies, a smaller footprint, and improved heating startup make these outdoor units ideal for commercial applications, according to the company. The enhanced R2-Series model features simultaneous cooling and heating to 14°F ambient conditions, quiet operation, and support of an extended setpoint range. Features of the upgraded Y-Series units include cooling or heating up to 50 zones through one outdoor unit, quiet operation, and cooling minus 10°F with an optional low ambient kit and extended pipe length up to 98 ft vertical height between indoor units.
