Emerson Climate Technologies will host and broadcast a complimentary webinar live on the show floor at the AHR Expo in New York City.

The webinar begins at 2 p.m. EST on Jan. 21 at Emerson’s booth, No. 1031. Titled “A Conversation on Refrigerants,” this is the next installment in Emerson’s ongoing Making Sense webinar series, designed to educate and inform those within the HVACR industry about new technologies, regulations, the latest trends, and environmental updates.

This live presentation is a panel discussion hosted by Rajan Rajendran, Ph.D., vice president of engineering services and sustainability for Emerson Climate Technologies. Dr. Rajendran is responsible for technical support to OEMs and end users for Emerson’s refrigeration business, including the design services and testing businesses. He serves on the Low-GWP Alternative Refrigerants Evaluation Program Task Force committee at the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute and the working groups for A2L Refrigerants committee at Underwriters Laboratories.

Guest panelists include Barbara Minor, senior technical fellow at DuPont Fluoroproducts; Mark W. Spatz, global refrigerant technology leader at Honeywell’s Fluorine Products; and Dr. Brett Van Horn, global project leader of R&D at Arkema Inc.

In this complimentary webinar, Emerson will discuss new refrigerants being developed for retrofit and new applications that can help lower carbon footprints. The webinar will also detail what can be done to refrigerant transition costs in the future and how to evaluate lower-GWP refrigerants.
