Pottorff has introduced its new XSV-845 8-in steel grille for buildings needing protection against violent weather such as hurricanes and tornadoes. The XSV-845 is FEMA 320 or 361 rated for storm shelters and save rooms. It is AMCA-certified and can withstand design loads of 260 psf to 300 psf produced by extreme wind phenomena. The XSV-845 has the lowest free area in the industry at 58.5 %, according to company officials.
