SpacePak has introduced AirCell, a new hydronic air distribution system for commercial and residential applications. AirCell is a modular and compact high-efficiency air distribution module that works in conjunction with any hydronic supply system including boilers, reverse cycle chillers, heat pumps, and geothermal systems. It allows refrigerants to remain outside of the building and uses 30% less energy than traditional fan-based HVAC systems, said SpacePak officials. Also, the company says that a “micro-zone” design creates multiple self-controlled areas to reduce energy usage up to 50%.
