Daikin AC has introduced the new web-enabled Daikin ENVi intelligent thermostat for use with single- and multi-split systems. The Daikin ENVi is accessible via the web for monitoring, schedule and setpoint changes, alerts, and service reminders. The high-resolution color LCD screen is backlit for easier visibility. Bold graphics and navigation buttons make the Daikin ENVi easier to use than typical programmable thermostats, according to the manufacturer. The Daikin ENVi also offers users a live weather forecast function and equipment operation reports. Dealers are provided a contractor portal for accessing their customer’s system reports and alerts for remote troubleshooting. Both the user and dealer can automatically receive emails if an error or alert condition exists. Each Daikin ENVi is offered with a free, secure, personalized web environment to view and manage all aspects of comfort system operation. The Daikin ENVi will be available in July 2013.
