Control-Techniques-060313-body.jpgControl Techniques, an Emerson Industrial Automation company, has launched its Digitax ST-X indexing servo motor drive with EtherNet/IP™, a new variant of the company’s Digitax ST series of pulse duty servo drives. Digitax STX is designed specifically for use with Rockwell Automation® PLCs. The compact servo drive is optimized for pulse duty, indexing servo applications requiring high peak torque (up to 300% peak), dynamic response, and ease of use. Digitax ST-X features Add-On Instruction (AOI) block programming for integration with the RSLogix® 5000 software environment and built-in EtherNet/IP for high-speed drive access, global connectivity, and flexible integration. Standard features on all Digitax ST variants include 14 types of encoder feedback, safe torque off, 3-6 digital inputs and 0-3 digital configurable digital outputs, and integrated EMC filter. Options include snap-in SM option modules for added I/O and extended feedback capabilities. Applications include indexing tables, fast conveyor positioning, cut-to-length machines, punch press, and more.
