“Optimizing HVAC System Performance” is the title of an upcoming regional seminar from AABC. The Associated Air Balance Council will bring the one-day seminar to the Hilton Baltimore on May 17.

The seminar is intended for design engineers, building owners, commissioning providers, and others involved with building diagnostics. AABC says the goal of the seminar is to help owners and engineers better understand the test and balance process, and how it contributes to the overall success of construction projects.

Some of the topics discussed will include proper duct design and leakage testing for LEED eligibility; how to develop more effective test and balance specifications; TAB and commissioning roles and responsibilities; and water balancing and hydronic equipment performance.

At the end of the seminar, AABC will provide all attendees with a certificate of completion worth four hours of American Institute of Architects-approved HSW/LU learning units.

The cost to attend is $75 per person and the deadline for registering is May 10. For more information, including a downloadable brochure and registration form, visit: www.aabc.com/baltimoreregional/.
