The industry-wide AHR EXPO Innovation Awards competition is designed to promote and encourage product development and innovation. Over 100 products were entered in nine award categories, with Danfoss’ Apexx VSH Series winning the AHR EXPO Innovation Award in the Cooling category as well as the AHR EXPO Product of the Year award.
“To have the VSH solution named Product of the Year is indeed an honor," said John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America Refrigeration & Air Conditioning. "It is not the capstone, but actually a milestone in the VSH story, as development continues for engineering innovations leading to even greater energy efficient solutions for our customers.”
The $8,100 in entry fees from the 7th annual AHR EXPO Innovation Awards competition was donated to HomeAid Chicago. The donation will go to assist in providing a complete climate control system reworking for a domestic violence shelter in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Since its inception, the AHR EXPO Innovation Awards program has donated more than $50,000 to various organizations throughout the country.
