International preservation expert John Fidler, RIBA, brings more than 30 years experience to firm's preservation technology practice area

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH) announced the addition of John Fidler, RIBA, to its Preservation Technology practice area, a role in which he will help to lead preservation projects nationwide from the firm's Los Angeles office.

Fidler's experience includes the conservation of numerous government-owned ancient monuments such as World Heritage Sites at Hadrian's Wall and Stonehenge; grant-aided technical assessments and repair specifications for hundreds of Listed Buildings in the United Kingdom; and repairs to the City of London's Mansion House and Guildhall, Winchester Cathedral, and numerous medieval churches. In North America, Fidler has consulted on many preservation projects in Washington, Colonial Williamsburg, and Mesa Verde National Park, CO.
