Grundfos Pumps Corporation announced that after 10 years with the company, Larry Wimmer, president of Grundfos U.S. and president/CEO of Grundfos North America, will be retiring at the end of 2007.

Under the direction of Wimmer, the North American region has experience widespread development; including deploying acceleration strategies, expanding the sales force, improving the market presence, investing in research and development, and acquiring companies, such as Alldos and PACO.

To assure growth and focus of aggressive goals for Grundfos in the United States, Dennis Wierzbicki will assume the role of President/General Manager of Grundfos U.S., effective May 1, 2007.  For the past three years, Wierzbicki has been directly involved in the aggressive acceleration plans and has advanced the sales efforts in the U.S. each year. 

Additionally, Gregers Johansen will assume the role of President/General Manager of PACO Pumps in Brookshire, TX, effective June 1, 2007.  He has the necessary experience to continue the development of PACO Pumps and to assist in meeting the growth targets for the aggressive Commercial Building Service market focus.  Gregers come to the U.S. after prior roles with Grundfos in Japan, Eastern Europe, and Denmark.  He has been with Grundfos since 1984.

Larry Wimmer will continue in his role as CEO Grundfos North America through year end 2007, facilitating the management transition of both Grundfos U.S. and PACO Pumps.
