The Intelli-Hood™ Operator is designed for commercial kitchen hoods and is designed to save fan energy and conditioned air during idle, noncooking periods by reducing hood exhaust and makeup fan speeds. A temperature and photoelectric sensor monitors the heat and smoke load inside the hoods and a motor speed controller varies the frequency and voltage to standard three-phase motors. One key feature is a keypad that replaces the light/fan toggle switches on the face of the hood and provides auto/bypass operation, % speed indication, and set-up keys for programming the minimum and maximum fan speed.
