These new keyboards are designed with the ability to be sealed “behind glass” to protect against chemicals, operator abuse, vandalism, and hygienic washdown. The company’s Series 75 keyboards — described as rugged, touch-sensitive, and 102-key — are available in panel and through-panel styles for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. They have no switching contacts, no membranes, and no moving parts, while being designed for activation through any nonconductor (toughened glass, plastic, ceramic) even with gloves on, says the manufacturer.
