The DC-2 is the company’s new portable microprocessor-based digital instrument designed for fast, accurate conductivity testing. Using precise digital electronics and the eddy current principle, the DC-2 measures electrical conductivity of nonmagnetic metals and the thickness of nonconductive coatings. The instrument features a wide conductivity measurement range of 0.9% to 106% IACS and a thickness range of 0.01 to 2.54 mm. The DC-2 operates at three different frequencies (60 kHz, 120 kHz, and 240 kHz), which allows the use of higher frequencies for the testing of thin material, it says.
