The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(EPA) will host its 3rd Annual Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools National Symposium on August 8-10, 2002, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington. The symposium will bring together school board officials, administrators, school nurses, teachers, facility managers, school and health association members, parents, and others to discuss good IAQ in our nation's schools.

Innovative sessions will cover topics including facility management and planning, financing, pest management, new school construction, asthma, student performance, and communications strategies for advocating good IAQ in schools. Participants will also learn about resources and materials, including EPA's Indoor Air Quality Tools for Schools (IAQ TfS) Kit and Program, a low-cost approach to help school staff IAQ and implement good IAQ management practices. Registration forms are currently available on EPA's Web site at EPA.
