Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. has earned a five-year contract to provide utility monitoring and controls systems (UMCS) from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The contract, valued at up to $200 million through 2008, authorizes Siemens to furnish and install systems and equipment at federal facilities, as well as at state and local government and higher-education facilities in the U.S. Systems include building automation, HVAC, fire safety, electronic security, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition), and other automated systems.
