Papers Needed for ASTM Symposium on Durability of Building and Construction Sealants and Adhesives Papers are invited for theASTM(W. Conshohocken, PA) Symposium on Durability of Building and Construction Sealants and Adhesives, sponsored by ASTM Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants. The symposium will be held Jan. 29-30, 2003, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, in conjunction with the Jan. 26-29 standards development meetings of Committee C24.

The objective of this symposium is to gather and disseminate the latest information on all aspects of durability testing, assessment, and specifications for building and construction sealants and adhesives. The symposium will be of interest to architects, consultants, sealant and adhesive manufacturers, applicators, manufacturers of weathering devices, building owners, maintenance engineers, and all others concerned with durability of sealants and adhesives used in building and construction.

The scope of the symposium covers all building envelope, interior building, construction, and civil engineering applications. Papers in the following subject areas are being sought: Field experience with sealed joints and adhesive fixations; sealant and adhesive durability studies; state-of-the-art reviews’ innovative approaches to improve sealed joints or adhesive fixation durability; development of new test methods and performance-based specifications; and mechanical and analytical studies.
