The company says it has made major improvements to the efficiency ratings and overall performance of its Super-E® line of motors. According to the manufacturer, the efficiency level has been raised in over 125 individual ratings and some now exceed 96%. The improved Super-E efficiencies meet or exceed the new rebate levels established by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) and followed by most electric utilities, it says. In addition, these motors are wound with the company’s exclusive ISR® Inverter Spike Resistant magnet wire, designed to be up to 100 times more resistant to transient voltage spikes, high frequencies, and short rise-time pulses commonly produced by inverters. — Baldor Electric Co.
