The International Association of Mold Remediation Specialists(Fort Worth, TX) has issued new mold remediation guidelines that exceed any standards that currently in existence and create a new level of expertise and certification of mold remediation contractors. IAMRS has also announced the Master Certified Remediation program, which was created with the understanding that this multi-disciplined industry requires multi-discipline training. The program consists of: Educational prerequisites (two years fieldwork or a degree in related industry and attendance at an IAMRS approved mold school; Submissions of documentation proving OSHA compliance appropriate insurance, employee training and written operational procedures; and Passing score on IAMRS examination, demonstrating knowledge of IAMRS guidelines and standards for mold remediation.
