BOILER ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES NEW MAGAZINE

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) announces the launch of its new, boiler-focused, biannual magazine. Today’s Boiler … Trends, Technology & Innovations will be distributed with BNP Media’s Engineered Systems (ES) magazine and published for the ABMA by BNP Custom Media. The first issue will hit the streets in April 2009.

“As its name implies, this new ABMA magazine and our partnership with Engineered Systems will take the visibility of ABMA and its membership to a new and exciting level,” said Randy Rawson, ABMA President & CEO, on announcing the magazine’s unveiling. “Today’s Boiler will highlight trends in both boiler markets and design, stress not only new technologies but new applications of old technologies, and will shine a bright and inquisitive light on efficiency and environmental innovations routinely emanating from the commercial, industrial, institutional and power-generating boiler and combustion equipment industry that ABMA represents,” Rawson went on to say.

Today’s Boiler replaces ABMA’s previous magazine, Boiler Systems Engineering, with a fresh, new outlook and approach—looking more toward the future, more toward possibilities, and more toward how industry and the customer can work together to achieve common goals using state-of-the-art technology.

Rawson pointed out that Today’s Boiler … Trends, Technology & Innovations will also feature the association itself, showing how ABMA acts as a catalyst to prepare its membership for ongoing change and how its members work together and with their customers to exploit industry expertise and experience to manage and benefit from change.”

Engineered Systems is honored to have been chosen by ABMA as a partner to produce and publish its magazine,” said Peter Moran, publisher of Engineered Systems Magazine. “We understand and support the mission of ABMA. Engineered Systems has covered boiler technology, safety, and operation with an emphasis on practical and accessible articles for more than 15 years, and we feel this brings great strength to our new partnership.”

Today’s Boiler will be launched in April 2009. BNP Custom Media will also produce ABMA’s digital magazine, as well as its bi-monthly e-newsletters.

ABOUT:

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is the national, nonprofit trade association of commercial, institutional, industrial, heat recovery and electricity-generating boiler system manufacturing companies (> 400,000 Btuh heat input), dedicated to the advancement and growth of the boiler and combustion equipment industry. Founded in 1888 by boiler manufacturers in search of safe boiler design techniques and materials, the organization today provides a common ground for information sharing and to achieve better understanding and communication between manufacturers, their customers, government and the public. ABMA’s community of focused interest and problem solving brings the technical and production expertise of an entire industry to bear on a range of energy and environmental policy issues. For suppliers, ABMA is a centralized market place that provides unparalleled product and service visibility within the industry and beyond. A member company of the American Boiler Manufacturers Association is not just another steam, hot water or combustion equipment company … it is part of a tradition of excellence and signals its exceptional commitment and obligation to the market, its customers and to the public to provide safe, efficient, clean and reliable hot water, comfort heating, process steam, heat recovery and electricity-generating steam systems.
