James G. Klingensmith joins Alberici Constructors’ General Building Division

Alberici Constructors’ General Building Division, announced that James G. Klingensmith, P.E., LAP, CCM, has joined the company as a new project director in the General Building Division.

Klingensmith, who is based at Alberici’s headquarters in St. Louis, will be responsible for managing multiple commercial and institutional projects. Klingensmith brings to Alberici over 25 years of experience in managing a wide spectrum of large scale construction projects in the areas of pharmaceutical R&D, higher education, recreational and corporate facilities for nationally known clients.  Prior to joining Alberici,
Klingensmith was a multi-project executive with Gilbane Building Company, where he was most recently responsible for the development and execution of capital improvements associated with the $820,000,000 Foothill / DeAnza Community College Bond Program in Cupertino, CA.

Klingensmith attended Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated with a degree in civil engineering.  He also holds an M.B.A in International Business from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.  In addition to being a licensed professional engineer, Klingensmith is also a LEED® Accredited Professional and a Certified Construction Manager as per the Construction Management Association of America.

Klingensmith is a past World Champion skydiver and 3-time member of the U.S. Parachute team.  He and his wife make their home in St. Louis.
