Boiler association elects officers at annual meeting

Several appointments announced, including new executive committee members.

Welch Goggins, president, Cleaver-Brooks, Inc. was re-elected by the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) board of directors as its chairman during the board’s annual meeting in Indian Wells, CA, January 11-15, 2008. Other officers re-elected for a one-year term were G. Scott Lewis, president, Chanute Manufacturing/a unit of Optimus Corporation, as ABMA vice chairman of the board; and Vernon Eriksen, president, Nooter/Eriksen, Inc., as ABMA secretary/treasurer.

The following ABMA members were appointed to the ABMA Executive Committee: Welch Goggins, Cleaver-Brooks, Inc., chairman; G. Scott Lewis, Chanute Manufacturing/a unit of Optimus Corporation; Vernon Eriksen, Nooter/Eriksen, Inc.; Blake McBurney, McBurney Corporation (Immediate Past Chairman); Jack Rentz, RENTECH Boiler Systems, Inc. (Board Member-at-Large) During the Association’s General Business Session earlier in its Annual Meeting proceedings, the following incumbent Board members were re-elected to a term ending in January 2011: David Breckinridge,
Alstom Power, Inc.; Welch Goggins, Cleaver-Brooks, Inc.; Blake McBurney, McBurney Corporation; Jack Rentz, RENTECH Boiler Systems, Inc.

The American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) is the national nonprofit trade association of commercial, institutional, industrial, heat recovery, and electricity-generating boiler and combustion equipment manufacturers headquartered in Vienna, VA.
